This project involved the design of an office and warehouse for a women’s clothing manufacturer in Yawata, Kyoto Prefecture. The road in front of the site is lined with well-known mass retailers and other commercial facilities. It attracts many shoppers from both within and outside Kyoto Prefecture and is regularly congested on holidays.
Delight Works handles natural-style clothing that gives the wearer a fresh and pure impression, while bringing enjoyment to everyday life. We designed the building to express this brand image in both its exterior and interior, with the hope that more people would become familiar with the products.
By carefully studying the detailing and precisely combining materials that could hardly be considered expensive, we were able to design a simple, refreshing building without making the design feel overly elaborate. We hope that, over time, the building will become familiar and well-loved in this community.
