This is a Japanese cuisine restaurant located near the northern approach to Funaokayama. From the initial hearing with the client, who is also a chef, we envisioned creating an interior space reminiscent of a cave. In a service environment focused on savoring seasonal ingredients in their purest form, no ornate decoration is necessary; the experience is intended to be simple yet unadulterated, allowing the essence to be felt directly. The space is composed solely of mortar, ash wood, and stainless steel. I feel that the initial intuition and the actual space have been connected in a straightforward and cohesive design.
