This compact residence, planned on a site bent in an L-shape, covers an area of 61.85 square meters (approximately 18.70 tsubo). The client’s primary requirement was to create a living space where they could coexist with the words they have encountered throughout their life.
The space, composed of a staircase and bookshelves integrated with the entrance, continues seamlessly to the second floor, surrounding the study while shielding it from direct sunlight.
The living room on the first floor overlooks the garden, with bookshelves positioned within the line of sight, intentionally creating an environment where the presence of books is constantly felt.
