This is a fully separated two-generation residence featuring a high-insulation specification combined with seismic grade 3 performance supplemented by a vibration control system. The site faces a row of speculative housing developments with unrelated openings across the street to the east, while the south side is bordered by relatively tall sliding shutters distinguished by a unique color scheme. Given the lack of favorable views in the surrounding environment, the courtyard house typology was employed to ensure privacy while maximizing natural daylight and ventilation.
The street-facing facade adopts a low-profile volume to harmonize with the streetscape, where an inclined wall symbolizes the client’s engagement with the local community, fostering a conscious relationship with the building and encouraging a sense of attachment. Circulation paths designed for fluid movement and varied floor levels by function create spatial diversity, while the modulation of ceiling heights combined with the use of natural materials achieves a balanced environment, offering a comfortable living space with efficient and pleasant daily flow.
