The client's brief requested a simple, monochrome interior and a program consisting of a bedroom, two children's rooms, and a study (the original layout comprised two private rooms). The dining kitchen was relocated closer to the terrace. Tracing the building’s structure and openings, the partition walls were incrementally shifted. The result is a residence with a terrace and visual/physical connection through to the Kamo River beyond. The living room, shared with the family's dog, is the family's space for relaxation.
