Shonan Housing Headquarters Building｜Far East Design Lab.

This is the new headquarters building for a real estate company. The ground-floor retail space tends to be dark due to the nature of the business, which requires posting displays facing the street. However, an atrium staircase creates a central void that eliminates any sense of enclosure. The second floor features four meeting rooms, each with a distinct character, along with a salon-like library space, enabling client meetings tailored to various scenarios.

The third floor serves as a multipurpose space for employees. From the perspective of job satisfaction, interpersonal relationships among colleagues hold significant importance. In future office environments, it is also a challenge for companies to provide staff with a fulfilling experience during working hours.

Additionally, the intersection in front of the building serves as a thoroughfare for people going to and from the nearby park. By extending the canopy on the first floor and opening it to passersby and those waiting at the traffic light, the space becomes a public passageway and a place to disseminate local real estate information.
