A book café converted from a machiya townhouse in Naramachi. The exterior sits quietly within a streetscape of traditional houses, yet stepping inside reveals an intense, layered atmosphere filled with antiques, books and music collected by the owner from around the world. That curious, trunk-like interior feels fitting for a machiya café in Nara — once the terminus of the Silk Road and a town not always prominent on maps.
