A condominium in Kyoto City. Stone cladding on the entrance hall walls had delaminated and fallen due to aging, causing injuries. A comprehensive sounding inspection identified numerous other areas at risk of detachment, so we undertook repairs to the wall surfaces and a full renewal of the deteriorated entrance hall. While securing consensus among many residents, the project confronted difficult requirements—high durability, ease of maintenance, and restrained cost—but ultimately produced a design that harmonizes well with the existing building’s simple, subdued character.
