This project is an extension of the restaurant at LAVIMANA Kobe, the largest wedding facility in western Japan, located at Kobe Airport. The facility, themed around resort weddings, has seen its surrounding trees mature over the years, exuding an exotic atmosphere since its original construction in 2008, unmatched by any other venue.
In this extension, while maintaining the core thematic concept, the design aims to create a unique, one-of-a-kind architectural expression never before seen elsewhere. Employing a timber lattice structural system, a vast column-free space measuring 14 meters by 27 meters was created. The restaurant is branded as a theater-style venue, accommodating 100 guests on the terrace floor and 50 guests on the mezzanine level above, for a total capacity of 150. From every seat, guests can leisurely enjoy views of the western sea, sky, and sunset.
