The site is located in Fukushima Ward, Osaka City. The frontage road is narrow, and the site is surrounded on three sides by tall office buildings and apartment complexes, making it less than ideal as a residential plot. Initially, the project began as a renovation with the client consulting about installing a home elevator as their final residence. However, due to the absence of a building inspection certificate, the renovation was abandoned, and a new construction plan was developed. The prominent exterior walls utilize the 'Solido' product by KMEW. As an urban residence, a dark-toned finish was envisioned, and Solido, which allows for a gradual aging process, perfectly matched this concept. The balcony handrails and the soffit trims were finished with 6mm phosphated steel plates, enabling a seamless and clean integration without any visual discordance.
