Beneath a vast sky, a home where family time unfolds slowly—The decision to relocate was driven by a desire for an environment where children can grow with freedom and a lifestyle that embraces nature. In the generous garden they cultivate vegetables and seasonal plants, allowing the passage of the seasons to bring color to everyday life.

Deeply overhanging eaves gently filter the summer sun, while light passing through shoji screens softly fills the interior. When the retractable shoji are opened, the living room and deck become a continuous space. The raised tatami platform and the broad window-side bench provide places to sit, gaze outward, and spend time in one's preferred manner.

In winter, the glow of the wood-burning stove quietly warms the whole house, tenderly gathering the family together. Reading, conversation, and sometimes making music—these unassuming, pleasure-filled moments sit at the heart of the home.

Honoring the natural textures of wood, earth, and textiles, the house is lived in plainly, without ornament.
