Located in a quiet residential area surrounded by scattered fields, accessed from a main road. The site extends east to west and is spacious enough for a single-story house with ample margins for sketching. However, an apartment building stands directly to the south, so to ensure sunlight and privacy, the building was positioned as far north as possible, adopting a rectangular plan. The floor plan places all rooms facing south, with openings and a backyard along the northern side of the elongated corridor, creating a layout with clear north-south permeability. Upon entering the entrance, the dining area connects to the garden through a large opening and a deck. Slightly sunken, the living room with a wood-burning stove continues from there. The exterior features a deep-eaved single-pitched roof, white plaster walls, and wooden siding, harmonizing with the greenery of the garden. Inside, the living space takes advantage of the single-pitched roof, with cedar thinning wood used for the ceiling. The spacious garden and single-story building, along with the expansive horizontal layout unique to suburban settings, offer a relaxed lifestyle that epitomizes the ideal residence.
