This is the I family's 11-year-old residence, notable for the wooden doors of its built-in garage.

Generally, a home that has reached ten years might give an impression of obsolescence, but by using authentic materials, rather than appearing "old" as time passes, it is expected to develop richer textures and become a timeless home. The I family has told us, "Because the garage connects directly to the interior, it's comfortable even on rainy days because we don't get wet."

"There are surprisingly few years when you can spend time with your children, so we wanted to build a comfortable home where the family can always be together during this period." An island kitchen and dining area are located on the east side, where the light is gentle. Breakfasts bathed in the morning sunlight entering through the large windows facing the garden, and outdoor time in the garden enjoying the greenery, are important moments of relaxation for the family.
