House with a Semi-Basement

A semi-basement home utilizes spaces positioned lower than ground levels, generating calmness and unique depth. Unlike complete basements, bringing in natural light via dry areas or high windows creates serene refuges while suppressing oppressive feelings. It suits urban housing wanting to secure natural light while dodging road views, or homes leveraging slope height differences. It serves well as studies, hobby rooms, bedrooms, or ateliers where you want to spend time calmly. Carefully planning insulation, waterproofing, ventilation, and moisture control enhances comfort. We introduce semi-basement homes cleverly leveraging terrain and light to craft serene retreats.
