The opening on the right side provides daylight to the entrance, while the closed section on the left conceals the bookshelves.

A low wall clad in the same charred cedar has been provided.

The living room and dining room can be divided by paper shoji screens; when open, they are stored inside the return wall on the right.

The staircase originally located inside a closet was replaced with an open‑riser (strip) stair. A shoin‑style shoji screen functions as the visual terminus.

The entrance is a wide sliding door to accommodate moving a motorcycle in and out. Fabricated from softwood plywood.

The staircase is designed to emphasize openness and lightness; the opening at the front faces the river.

Opening the shutter reveals the continuity from the +1.2-meter terrace space to the LDK.

The living room is bright and well ventilated, situated between east and west tsubo-niwa.

The exterior combines black charred cedar boards with corrugated steel sheets, and has three entrances corresponding to the uses of the first floor.

Converted the previously dim two adjacent tatami rooms into a large cedar‑clad living room, rehabilitating the property as a family‑oriented residence.
